New Employee Onboarding
Complete onboarding checklist and guide for all new SOLV(X) employees
Welcome to SOLV(X)! This page walks you through everything HR needs you to complete in your first 30 days. Your manager will guide you through the role-specific parts — this covers the company-wide essentials.
Most of the steps in this guide are time-sensitive. Complete the paperwork items in Week 1 to avoid delays with payroll.
Before Day 1
Your recruiter will send you:
- Welcome email with your company email credentials
- Link to complete your employment paperwork online
- Details on when and where (or which video link) to join on your first day
If you haven't received these by 48 hours before your start date, contact hr@acmecorp.com.
Week 1 — IT & Access
Work through the Quick Start Checklist for full IT setup. Key steps:
- Activate your company email
- Set up MFA on all company accounts
- Reset your network password
- Request your equipment if not already provisioned
- Set up VPN access
Week 1 — HR Paperwork
Complete the following in your HR portal (link in your welcome email):
- Employment agreement (if not already signed)
- Tax withholding forms
- Direct deposit setup for payroll
- Emergency contact information
- Benefits enrollment (you have 30 days from start date)
Benefits enrollment closes 30 days after your start date. Missing this window means waiting until the next open enrollment period.
Week 2–4 — Getting Up to Speed
- Complete any mandatory compliance training (your manager will assign these)
- Review the Acceptable Use Policy
- Review the Remote Work Policy
- Meet with each member of your immediate team
- Shadow key processes relevant to your role
30-Day Check-In
Your manager will schedule a 30-day check-in to review:
- How onboarding went
- Any access or tool gaps
- Early goals and priorities
- Questions and feedback
