Quick Start Checklist
Everything you need to complete in your first week at SOLV(X)
Use this checklist to get fully set up in your first week. Most tasks take just a few minutes — work through them in order.
Complete the IT setup steps before anything else. You'll need your accounts to access most tools on this list.
Day 1 — Accounts & Access
- Log in to your company email (check your personal inbox for the invite)
- Set up multi-factor authentication on your email account
- Log in to Slack and join your team channels
- Set up your company laptop following the IT Setup Guide
- Reset your network password using the Password Reset Process
- Connect to the company VPN — see VPN Setup
Day 2–3 — Tools & Profiles
- Complete your Slack profile (photo, role, timezone)
- Set up your calendar and add team calendars
- Book your introductory 1:1s with your manager and team members
- Request any equipment you need via the Equipment Request process
Day 4–5 — Policies & Culture
- Read the HR Onboarding Guide
- Review the Remote Work Policy
- Read the Acceptable Use Policy
- Review your time-off entitlements in Time Off & Leave
By End of Week 1
- Attend your team standup and introduce yourself
- Complete any required compliance training (your manager will send a link)
- Add your emergency contact info to HR systems
Some access requests (VPN, specific tools) may take 24–48 hours to process. Submit these requests on Day 1 so they're ready when you need them.
