Equipment Request
How to request hardware, peripherals, and home office equipment from IT
All new employees receive a standard equipment package. If you need additional or replacement equipment, follow this process.
New employees: your equipment should arrive before your start date. If it hasn't, contact IT immediately. See also the Onboarding Guide for the full first-week checklist.
Standard Equipment Package
Every full-time employee receives:

Requesting Additional Equipment
Via the IT Portal
- Go to
https://help.acmecorp.com - Click New Request → Equipment
- Select the item category and describe what you need
- Provide your home/office delivery address
- Submit — you'll receive a confirmation email
Via Slack
For urgent or non-standard requests:
/itbot equipment-request [item description]
Example:
/itbot equipment-request External monitor for home office, at least 27"
IT will respond within 1 business day.
Approval & Budgets

Items over budget limit require written manager approval before IT can process the request.
Delivery Times
- Standard items (in stock): 2–3 business days
- Non-stock items: 5–10 business days
- International shipping: 10–15 business days
Returning Equipment
When you leave the company or receive a replacement, you must return equipment within 5 business days. IT will send a pre-paid return label.
Unreturned equipment will be deducted from your final paycheck at current market value.
Lost or Damaged Equipment
Report lost or damaged equipment immediately:
- Lost: File a report with IT and your manager — there may be insurance coverage
- Damaged: Accidental damage is usually covered; intentional or negligent damage may not be
