VPN Setup
How to install and connect to the SOLV(X) VPN for secure remote access
You must use the SOLV(X) VPN whenever accessing internal systems from outside the office. This guide walks through installation and connection on all supported platforms.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- Your company email and password
- MFA set up on your account (required for VPN login)
- VPN credentials from IT (sent in your welcome email)
If you don't have VPN credentials, request them via #it-support on Slack.

Troubleshooting
Can't Connect
- Check your internet connection first
- Verify your password hasn't expired — see Password Reset
- Try a different VPN server region (available in the server dropdown)
- Restart the VPN client
Slow Connection
- Try switching to the nearest server region
- Disable split tunneling if it's enabled (forces all traffic through VPN)
- Check if there are known VPN issues in
#it-support
MFA Not Working
- Make sure your authenticator app time is synced correctly
- If using email codes, check your spam folder
- Contact IT to reset your MFA configuration
Split Tunneling
Split tunneling routes only company traffic through the VPN. This is enabled by default and improves performance. To disable (sends all traffic through VPN):
- Open VPN settings
- Go to Advanced → Split Tunneling
- Toggle Route all traffic on
Disabling split tunneling will route all your internet traffic through SOLV(X)'s network. This may affect browsing speed and is monitored per the Acceptable Use Policy.
